Executive Functioning Therapy
Nicole is a Certified facilitator of Motor Cognition 2 program - The Motor Cognition2® Program (MC²) is a structured neurocognitive program designed to improve executive functioning and academic performance in children and adults with diagnoses including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Executive Function Deficit (EFD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Disorders, Language Disorders, and traumatic brain injury. Nicole was trained in Scottsdale, AZ, under program creators: Paul Beljan PSY, ABPdN, ABN and Lynn Carahaly CCC-SLP. MC2 has shown positive results in improving handwriting, classroom behavior, homework completion, and home behavior. Any child/teen at any ability level ages 3 and up can benefit from this program! Nicole is a certified general and special educator (FL# 1312665) and can assist with almost any essay, project, assignment, and/or F.A.S.T. test preparation through middle school. Although she is highly qualified in language arts, she is also experienced at teaching elementary math, social studies, and science. Nicole is an approved Gardiner Scholarship and New World Scholarship provider and welcomes private, public, and home schooled students.

Originally created for individuals with dyslexia, it is now realized that the approach is applicable to all learners. Nicole was trained and certified in the OG approach through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). The OG approach is systematic and sequential, beginning with single sound/letter and progressing to more advanced concepts including spelling rules and morphology., using multi-sensory activities. NES now also offers and utilizes the OG-based SMARTER Intervention Curriculum from ASCEND (Denver, CO.) This program is designed to support all five core components of literacy for students K-12. HANDWRITING WITHOUT TEARS , RHYTHM OF HANDWRITING, and WOWZA BRAIN metronome activities methods and materials are used for intensive handwriting intervention.
IEP & 504 PLAN CONSULT
Nicole has written and/or co-written over 500 IEPs and 504 plans. She has also done many professional developments for teachers and parents for writing and understanding legal, compliant IEPs. She will review your child's educational records and give you experienced advisement when communicating with your child's school.
Woodcock- Johnson IV Achievment Testing
Nicole has been administering the Woodcock-Johnson Achievement test for over 20 years. The WJ IV is the updated and redesigned edition of one of the most widely used batteries of individually administered psycho-educational tests in the country. The focus on relative strengths and weaknesses help professionals identify and describe patterns of performance across all achievement domains that are a foundation for identifying learning problems and targeting interventions.
